Adorable retro stirped dress.

Stripes are everywhere and on everything this season. I am loving the stripe/peplum combination on this top. These shoes are super cute and this one shoulder top is a definite must have.  I have been wanting to add some stripes into my Spring wardrobe and when I received this dress from Stitch Fix, it was love at first sight.

I took one look at this dress, instantly felt happiness and said a silent prayer that it would fit me! It is a classic A-line silhouette, with an unexpected cutout in the back. And pockets! I mean how do you ever say to no to a dress with pockets!!?? On my body type this dress is very cute. Stick on someone with some hips and a butt and it becomes sexy.

A cut out back is so chic.

Adorable striped dress with pockets.

Lets talk details. First you have the pockets. Like I mentioned above, pockets just have a way of making everything better. I’m a total sucker for dresses with pockets. Secondly the back. The back of this dress highlights the cut out trend that is seen everywhere right now. While I love this trend, I am definitely not comfortable with cutouts on my midriff, around my chest or anywhere else that unwanted things might spill out of. 🙂 Therefore, the back is perfect for me! Last but not least, the buttons on the back. They are a great antique bronze color and a bit heavier than you would actually expect to see on a dress like this.

Fedora and statement necklace complete the look.

Tiffany blue sunglassses to complete the look.

Completing my look, I added a hat and grey floral necklace. I adore hats and whenever I get a chance to wear one, I never turn it down. This on added the slightest touch of summer fun and playfulness. As you know from my previous post, I also love big statement jewelry. I kept this one within the same tones to give an even flow to the whole look. Sunnies were of course a must have accessory as. Both for fashion and well it’s bright outside. On a side note, I also think that a yellow clutch would be really cute with this and a nice pop of bright color.

For shoes I chose a pair of black, block heeled sandals. They dress the whole outfit up a bit and make it perfect for either a lunch date with girlfriends or a night out on the town. Add some flat sandals or even a pair of cute white tennis shoes and you can run errands, and handle all parental duties while looking super cute.

Adorabel striped dress.

Are you ladies loving stripes this Spring? Let me know what you think and as always here are a few more of my favorites below.
