All dressed up and no where to go. Well, no where yet. I am currently awaiting invites to fabulous parties, weddings, cruises, vacations…you get the idea. 🙂 I have decided that when these invites do arrive, I will show up in my LBD (little blush dress). Blush is everywhere this season and a lacy dress is the perfect way to showcase it.
I don’t have many occasions in my everyday life that call for a little lacy number. When shopping for a special event dress, I look for one that can be worn multiple ways to multiple events. I actually purchased this dress in December for a work event. I paired it with a pair of black suede heels and a lovely trench that made it appropriate for work and the cold. Currently I am wearing it with my wedding shoes (they may be 8 years old but they are still cute), a little clutch and instantly it’s perfect for wedding season, bridal showers, or summer work events.
For date night, toss on a little leather jacket (it’s still cold here in PA), some black patent pumps, big hoops and go hit the town. Moving into Fall, add some tights, knee high boots, a sweater and now it looks like you have a little lacy skirt. Want me to stop yet? 🙂
For me the color and fit are what make this little number so versatile. I treat blush like a neutral. It really matches quite a lot of other colors and looks stunning with other neutrals. The fit is just tight enough that you can play it up or down. You can also toss a shirt over it without looking bulky. The length allows you to wear your shoe of choice while still keeping everything in the right proportion.
While this one doesn’t exactly transcend seasons or events, it screams Grecian goddess and buy me now. I love this lacy little number. The bell sleeves are super cute on this regal looking dress. And one more before I start to hit purchase on all these beauties. The cold shoulder and structure on this dress are quite stunning and sexy.
