Love a kimono for a light layer.

Ok, so by now if you have been following you know that I am literally always cold. Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall, -20 degrees or 90 degrees. It doesn’t matter, I am simply always cold. Air conditioned buildings in the summer are literally my worst nightmare. I always carry around a little something extra to toss on once I feel that cold shudder begin. Enter the kimono.

Literally (in my opinion) the best summer layering piece ever. Toss it over your shoulders once that chill sets in and it easily engulfs you with a nice light touch of fabric. I have also been known to drape it over my legs in a movie theater or at a dinner table. The kimono is lightweight and rolls up easily, lending it to fit nice and neat into a purse. This style is also a great cover up for going to the beach or chilling poolside. The possibilities are endless as are the many fabric and print options that they come in.

The kimono that I am wearing is from last year and I purchased it from Lulus. It’s a silky fabric which I love because it doesn’t wrinkle easily and it transitions from day to night perfectly. I also own a cotton one, which I love more for casual days and as a beach cover up.

I love the sheer fabric on this one. The tassels on this one are so fun for the beach. Love the duster length and colors on this one. The lace detailing on this one is super cute. Check out a few of my other favorites below. 🙂
