Before you roll your eyes at me, hear me out on this one. It is holiday season so I have an excuse to post all the dresses and fancy shoes that I want. It also gives me an excuse to wear them all, if only for a few hours while taking pictures. 🙂 So does anyone have a ton of parties coming up? Work related, friends, family?? I will definitely be wearing this outfit to one of my party engagements and I will probably be rocking this little black dress to another.
So we all know that the little black dress never goes out of style. Just to prove that, this dress is actually 2 years old. I purchased it from Express a couple years ago and have definitely gotten my fair share of outfits out of it. Add a pop of color with your shoes or accessories or keep the look all classic black. I love the lace fabric of this dress, which is why I purchased it orignially. Although by now you may have noticed that I really love lace in general (here and here).
These shoes are so cute and also about two years old. I love them with dresses or with a pair of jeans (styled that way here). They are such a sexy pair of shoes and I honestly can’t ever see getting rid of them. I purchased them from LuLus, which is a great website for party clothes and amazing heels. I actually also think these shoes would be really cute paired with a skirt, like the one I wore here.
The main purpose of this post was to show you that you don’t have to buy a holiday new outfit every year (even though we want too). Purchasing a few classics that never go out of style is a great way build your wardrobe. You can re-work and re-wear these pieces throughout the years and seasons and never have to stress the last minute question of what will I wear.
Now if you are in the market for a little something new, here’s a few of my favorites. I love the lace detailing on this black dress. This velvet and lace dress is so gorgeous. Oh this lacy romper is so cute and sexy. The color and ballerina style wrap on these shoes is amazing. A strappy, sexy stiletto can never steer you wrong.
